Nancy Barry, Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, and I had the opportunity to meet with the
developer of the vacant church property at 4900 Baymeadows Road on January 27, 2023.
The retirement community project is still viable-nothing has changed from the plan approved and permitted by the City and presented to residents more than two years ago. The developer
remains committed and eager to move forward as economic conditions continue to improve.
Interesting facts we learned:
1. the project incorporates green building features including materials and energy element.
2. The project is sanctioned by the Diocese of St. Augustine.
No precise start date is available at this time. However, as soon as economic conditions
improve, a realistic schedule to complete will be developed and shared with the community.
