Strangers in Our Neighborhood

Dear Brierwood residents,

Yesterday (9/19/23) at approx 5:45 pm, a neighbor spotted a man walking 

behind her home along the creek/drainage ditch. Her home abuts the creek

at Mornington Dr and Runnymeade Rd S.

She saw a man wearing a blue shirt with a black backpack on his back walking

along the creek behind her backyard.  His race, hair coloring or skin color could 

not be identified .A call to the police provided a prompt visit to her home. The officer

walked around her house and on the sidewalk looking for the man and also talked

to a few neighbors, but was not found.

To keep our neighborhood safe, please be aware of strangers walking near

your house or on the creek.  Call the JSO at 630-0500, non emergency number

for a quick response. 

Of course, if it's a burglary or any weapons are visible, call 911. Don't be a hero,

let the police handle it.
